Since 2018, Austo has decided to focus his energy and skills on weddings and private events. He quickly learned that expert curation combined with an inviting personality made him a standout DJ/MC in the wedding industry. With weddings, Austin can showcase his mixing ability all while spoiling clients with empathy, communication, and interpersonal skills. So in January of 2022, Austin went all-in, leaving his day job and beginning his career as a full-time DJ and the owner of Austo Entertainment, Inc.
Growing up in the small town of Gilroy, it wasn't until his first year of college that Austin discovered DJing and performing. Studying for his degree in Business Marketing at Cal State Fullerton, Austin began his DJ career at house parties and fraternity events. These parties led to larger and more formal events, high schools, bars, and eventually, nightclubs and music festivals. In 2016, Austin, now known as DJ Austo, won CSUF's annual Battle of the DJs and performed at CSUF Spring Concert, opening for Rae Sremmurd and Porter Robinson.

Two months later, Austin married his best friend, Katelyn Boyd, whom he lives with in Costa Mesa, California. When not out working an event, you might find Austin skateboarding with his dog, Moksi, or wandering around at Disneyland. In the rare occurrence that Austin has a weekend off, you might find him on the golf course, playing card games with friends, while most definitely drinking a craft beer. Austin has a passion for life and shares that joy with his friends, family, clients, and everyone he meets.
